Oh yeah, let’s not talk about the real problem (racism and classism and general obliviousness to privileges in the vegan community) and instead answer with bald faced lies about vegan foods and nutrition.

News flash: The only thing a vegan diet naturally lacks is B12, which can be obtained synthetically and can be easily found (nevermind the fact that lots of vegan products already add synthetic B12 so you don’t even need to buy it separately).

You know, not all vegans are oblivious about their privileges. And while I do understand a lot of vegan people really do need to check their privilege, it really has nothing to do with veganism itself. If they are racists (as they often are) call them racists, don’t say shit about proteins or other stupid lies.

And no, my argument was not about not all vegans being racist assholes. I myself admit that most of them are. The problem is that when you attack veganism you are attacking the idea, not the group.

There are lots of stupid bigot assholes out there who dismiss veganism with half-assed justifications just like that. Your words carry weight and it does not matter if it’s just a joke. You are indirectly supporting a system that oppresses, tortures and kills millions of animals daily, so please don’t give me shit about it being just a joke.
